11/4/10--Thankful for...

I'm so thankful that Peter is okay after falling out of the shopping cart at Wal-mart this afternoon. I'm also very thankful for the special double-child shopping carts that allow me to shop with both kiddos at once, I really wish one of those had been available this afternoon and the entire episode could have been easily avoided.

11/3/10--Thankful For...

November 3, 2010--I'm so thankful that my husband sacrifies every day driving around in an older car so that I can drive our nice comfortable car. I love our Acadia!

Thankful for....

I find it interesting that my favorite holidays have changed as I've gotten older. As a kid Christmas and Easter were always on the top of my list. When I was in college my favorites became Mardi Gras and St. Patty's Day. Now Thanksgiving tops the list. One of my friends shared one of her new holiday traditions is to post something that she's thankful each day in November. I loved that idea and I'm absolutely stealing it! I love that something so simple completely changes my attitude. I spent all day thinking of different little things that happened throughout the day that I'm thankful for.

Throughout the month of November I'm going to try and post something that I'm thankful fo each day. So here goes.....

November 1, 2010--I am so thankful for the Tassimo Beverage System that Mike gave me for my birthday 4 years ago. I love that I'm able to enjoy one cup of coffee at a time!

November 2, 2010--I'm so thankful that Olivia and Peter both slept in until after 9 am on our day off and that they both took afternoon naps at the same time!

Halloween Part I, The Class Party

Olivia had her class party at school on Friday. Mike was able to get off early so we were all able to go. After the week we had last week dealing with school issues it was really nice to be able to have such a fun and positive experience at school.

I made this fabulous Halloween Chex Mix (recipe here) to bring for snack. It was a huge hit and I think it will become an annual family Halloween favorite.



And these adorable treat bags that Peter helped me stuff.



We were able to share a fun Halloween snack with the class.





Olivia spots a cupcake that was left unattended.



Peter fits right in, he wants to go to school with Olivia! Peter also likes the pretty girls!



Then we got to see dance time in the circle.





Then we all settled in for story time before heading outside to the playground.
